The FI5001L from Furuno gives the navigator even more information to optimize boat performance and speed. The difference with the FI5001 is its size, which is larger to adapt to a different type of boat.

The FI5001L from Furuno uses a wind vane to detect and define wind direction, and an anemometer to record wind speed. These measurements enable you to improve your boat’s potential by adjusting your sail to take advantage of the wind’s strength. When combined with other sensors Furuno, the FI5001L provides people on the boat with wind data such as apparent wind or VMG wind.

The combination of wind vane and barometer information integrated within a single sensor makes it quick and easy to install the FI5001L to provide you with recorded data at the helm via NMEA 2000.
