HUMMINBIRD – SH-B06T – XPTH-9-HDSI-180-T – SIDE IMAGING

The SH-B06T from Humminbird is a through-beam plastic probe that collects temperature data from the water’s surface.

The principle of Side Imaging is that two lateral beams scan the sides, with a theoretical range of 120m each. Unlike conventional cone-shaped beams, Side Imaging beams are very thin in their horizontal dimension, but very wide in their vertical dimension. This means they behave a little like acoustic curtains, which are passed at right-angles to either side of the boat. The probe uses 4 frequencies 200/83/455 and 800kHz for a total coverage of 180°.

The SH-B06T probe is supplied with 6m of cable, and is compatible with all models in the Humminbird range featuring the Side Imaging function.
